The first paired cephalic appendage. In munnopsids, it consists of a wide, flattened basal segment, two segments of intermediate thickness, and distal annular segments of varying lengths. The most distal segments generally bear aesthetascs. (Syn. first antenna, antennule) [Wilson, 1989].
