In unstalked barnacle, variously associated with scutum to form operculum. Features or regions of tergum include angles (basicarinal, basiscutal), apex, articular ridge, margins (basal, carinal, occludent, scutal), spur, and spur furrow. (fixed, movable) [Stachowitsch, 1992].
