(Subclass Copepoda):
Point at which body is capable of bending to greatest extent. Region of body anterior to flexure point is termed prosome, that posterior to it, urosome. According to group, it is located either between third/fourth, fourth/fifth, fifth/sixth thoracic somites or between sixth thoracomere and genital somite. (Syn. body flexure, flexure point) [Stachowitsch, 1992].
