Narrow area bordering lower margin or orbit; may be ill-defined or indistinguishable [Moore and McCormick, 1969].
(Order Decapoda):
On anteroventral surface of carapace, region below each orbit. (Syn. posterior subneural artery, inferior abdominal artery, ventral abdominal artery) [Stachowitsch, 1992].
(Infraorder Brachyura):
Narrow region bordering lower margin of orbit, sometimes defined, sometimes indistinguishable. See: carapace regions (m) [McLaughlin, 1980].
